Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) is a volunteer-based charitable program dedicated to serving those in need across the globe.
Inspired by the compassionate example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and founded by Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi of the Naqshbandi Vancouver Center, FZHH strives to bring love, hope, and care to humanity through its diverse projects. Our programs are designed to be accessible to anyone in need, regardless of background.
Guided by the values of compassion and unity, we are committed to making a difference and expanding our reach to help even more communities worldwide.
Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) operates as a program initiative under the legal authority granted by, Sufi Meditation Centers Society, a registered Canadian charity, and Mystic Meditation, a registered U.S. charity.
VISION
Guided by the timeless values of the Holy Qur’an and prophetic tradition, our vision is to uplift the impoverished, strengthen communities for a resilient future, and provide unconditional love and support to people in need, regardless of their backgrounds.
MISSION
Our mission is to help the less fortunate break the cycle of poverty and achieve dignity by providing access to necessities of life, including food, water, shelter, health and wellness opportunities, and education. Our mission is carried out by developing global initiatives to support the most vulnerable communities. Our mandate includes local volunteers on the ground to help execute programs while offering a personal connection to those in need.

2024 GLOBAL IMPACT
Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives
Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) continues to establish its global presence with program expansion in various countries across Asia, Africa, and North America.
Countless individuals and communities have been positively impacted through our programs which include food recovery and distribution operations, orphan and child care, educational support, improved access to quality healthcare, access to clean drinking water, and a wide range of other initiatives!
2024 ACHIEVEMENTS
PAKISTAN
In Pakistan, a comprehensive approach to support the underprivileged has been undertaken, with a focus on orphan support including much-needed healthcare initiatives and winter clothing providing warmth and comfort during the cold months. The installation of thousands of water wells has steadily increased the country’s sustainable development with a total of 5,500 wells installed by year-end.



PAKISTAN
Our efforts include celebrating the Annual Grand Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ, providing orphans with a beacon of hope and the opportunity to celebrate holy events.
FZHH host volunteers continue to spread compassion and kindness by preparing and serving nutritious meals, including during the holy month of Ramadan, and distributing thousands of pounds of fresh meat from Qurbans.



INDIA
In Hyderabad, India, FZHH is actively supporting the community through a variety of impactful projects. Numerous mobile food programs and the distribution of hot meals and Qurban meat ensure that less privileged community members have access to nutritious food. Initiatives include much-needed support during the holy month of Ramadan including serving iftar and dinner meals and the distribution of Ramadan grocery kits to families in need.




INDIA
Beyond food security, FZHH's initiatives in India include delivering educational materials to schools and providing prayer carpets to a rural mosque, demonstrating a commitment to addressing diverse community needs.
The Annual Grand Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ, now in its third year, brings joy and blessings to vulnerable children and families. FZHH's work in India exemplifies their commitment to serving communities and spreading compassion.



KENYA
Nairobi continues to benefit from the positive impact of FZHH initiatives. Targeted projects are addressing critical food insecurity, including access to fresh meat.
During Ramadan, host community volunteers served numerous families and individuals, providing the less privileged with essential groceries to embrace the joy of the holy month. By understanding local community challenges, FZHH is not only providing aid, but empowering residents to build brighter futures.



NIGERIA
FZHH continues to expand its global reach by providing critical support in Abuja and Nasarawa State. Host volunteers are working to improve access to quality healthcare by supporting local clinics, distributing food and fresh meat, directly addressing food insecurity.
The first annual Grand Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ was celebrated in Abuja, spreading joy and blessings throughout the local community.




NORTH CALIFORNIA
In Northern California, FZHH is extending its reach to support vulnerable populations. The FZHH meal service initiative has expanded to Oakland, where local volunteers dedicate their time each month to prepare and serve hot meals to those in need.
The first annual Grand Mawlid an Nabi ﷺ was celebrated in Fremont, CA, spreading joy and blessings throughout the local community.

What’s in 3,600 Prepared Meals?
- 720 pounds of rice
- 1,440 pounds of chicken
- 120 pounds potatoes
- 24 bags of onions
- 24 bags of assorted vegetables

- 3,600 bottles of waters

SOUTH CALIFORNIA
Los Angeles and Orange County continue to serve as focal points for FZHH’s mission. Through numerous comprehensive programs, host community volunteers serve children, families, and underprivileged individuals, providing vital support and resources to those in need.





VANCOUVER, BC
Vancouver continues to expand its programs with a strong commitment to supporting local communities while also prioritizing sustainable environmental practices. The acquisition of a new warehouse facility will further amplify these efforts, increasing FZHH's capacity for food rescue operations.



VANCOUVER, BC – FZHH FOOD BANK WAREHOUSE
In 2024, Fatima Zahra Helping Hand (FZHH) significantly expanded its capacity to serve Metro Vancouver.
The acquisition of a 3,200 square foot facility in Port Coquitlam, BC, has created a central hub for collecting and distributing food and household items, fostering a stronger and more connected community.
The new facility will improve logistics and expand FZHH's service capacity across the region. Community initiatives will include providing free groceries to families in need, offering affordable subsidized food options, delivering mobile groceries to Muslim elderly individuals, partnering with local schools to ensure children have access to nutritious meals, and much more!

Step 1 - Please obtain FZHH shirts so that volunteers and students are identifiable with the charity and Tariqa.
Step 2 - Approach food retailers and ask them to donate any unsold foods they would otherwise discard. Building a relationship with the food manager is a great way to sustain a steady flow of food supply.
Step 3 - Distribute rescued foods to local homeless shelters, food pantries, community women & children centers or underprivileged schools.
